Gaming Exhibits Grow by 30 Percent at the 2015 International CES

Arlington, Va., August 12, 2014 – The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)®today announced the growth of the Gaming Marketplace at the 2015 International CES®. Owned and produced by CEA, the 2015 CES, the global gathering place for all who thrive on the business of consumer technologies, will run January 6-9, 2015, in Las Vegas, Nevada. “Today, gaming takes place across a myriad of devices. Even as consoles have evolved into multifunctional, multimedia gateways, the explosive growth in gaming is largely fueled by the sales of mobile devices globally and consumers’ desire to play games whenever and wherever they choose,” said Karen Chupka, senior vice president, International CES and corporate business strategy. “The Gaming Marketplace at the 2015 CES will showcase the full spectrum of gaming innovations, and provide a unique opportunity to glimpse into the future of this immersive industry.” The Gaming Marketplace will be located at CES Tech East, in the Las Vegas Convention and World Trade Center (LVCC), South Hall 2. Tech East includes the LVCC, the Westgate Las Vegas (Westgate), and Renaissance Las Vegas (Renaissance). Major exhibitors currently located within the Gaming Marketplace include: Oculus VR,Snail Games, Occipital, Virtuix, andDX Racer. CES Tech East will also feature leading companies and the newest innovations in digital imaging/photography, global technology and other high-growth technology areas. The 2015 CES will feature 20 category-specific Marketplaces highlighting innovation across diverse product areas.
