Bittium CES 2021 Highlights
At the virtual stand Bittium will showcase its R&D services for the automotive industry:
- Secure solutions for vehicle management and connectivity - Connected car systems are increasingly becoming one of the decisive purchasing criteria when buying a new vehicle. This opens up a huge market potential for system designers and OEMs, but also increases the information security risks and the need for such knowhow. Bittium's solutions for information security enable easy remote monitoring and management of vehicles as well as security and privacy for the driver. For example, the management of OEM applications downloaded to a vehicle allows better control of the visual brand identity for the car manufacturer and updates for the software products included with the car. The management system developed for vehicle monitoring and management also supports the service providers, such as logistics companies and car rental agencies, in their vehicle management.
- HMI development on Android Automotive platform: The second area of focus in Bittium's R&D services for the automotive industry is HMI development. During the event Bittium will demonstrate a reference design that includes a digital cluster and infotainment system built by using Rightware's Kanzi UI tools. The reference design has been enhanced by utilizing an AI based face analysis toolkit from Valossa, and by developing an adaptive HMI design to support the functionalities. Thanks to the driver monitoring and adaptive HMI, the vehicle adapts to the driver's behavior and needs. The goal is to reduce unnecessary distractions and improve road safety.
- Android customization and integration services: Bittium's R&D experts support automotive industry suppliers in developing tailored and optimized Android based solutions for different customer needs starting from board-support-package software development all the way to full system level integration. For example, Bittium's Android Automotive reference design has been integrated with wireless Apple CarPlay and driver recognition for personalized user experience.
Virtual Exhibition Booth and Live Demonstration
The virtual stands are open January 12-14. Registered CES visitors are welcome to visit Bittium's booth where it is possible to discuss and schedule appointments for meetings and demonstrations with Bittium's experts.
